Wormley, American (1907-1995) for Dunbar Co., Indiana<BR>1960's<BR>Upholstery, brass legs<BR><BR> An elegant, understated modern sofa grouping upholstered in a medium blue fabric, designed by Edward J. Wormley and hand constructed by Dunbar Co. Consisting of two (2) sofas with attached 9-buttoned backs and four brass legs, approx. 83 inches in width, 33 inches in depth, and 30 inches in height, and a seat cushion approx. 73-1/2 inches in length and a depth of 20-1/2 inches, with two attached protective arm covers. Also included are two (2) curved, slightly smaller 7-buttoned attached back, five brass-legged sofas, approx. 76-1/2 inches in length, 33 inches in depth and 22-1/2 inches in height.<BR><BR>Wormley was the design director for Dunbar Co. for over thirty years, known for his passion for handcrafted quality and for using only the finest materials. During his career, The Museum of Modern Art and the Chicago Merchandise Mart honored Wormley furniture designs with over thirty individual awards for "Good Design." A quote from Edward J.
