A Mersey Railway cast-iron station roof spandrel lettered "MTR" (Mersey Tunnel Railway) in intertwined script capitals in the angle. 32"x30", attractively restored. Not too heavy. The Mersey Railway operated the line from Liverpool to Rock Ferry and opened in 1886. It remained independent until nationalized in 1948.
