A Meissen figure of Harlequin playing the bagpipes modelled by J.J. Kaendler in conical hat with puce rosette, half his jacket reserved with iron-red chequered pattern on a yellow-ground, the other half blue with black breeches and iron-red shoes, seated on his rock-work base applied with flowering foliage, 5ins. high, repair to his hat and top of pipe, impressed OD45, circa 1738.
