A Manchester Sheffield & Lincolnshire Railway large sliding-knob HANDLAMP. The body, stamped “M S & L”, bears a huge rectangular copper plate stamped “M S & L 11913 Neston”. The internal drum is clearly stamped “MS & L Ry.Co”. Complete with vessel, burner, glass funnel and all glasses. On the Birkenhead line from Shotton, Neston opened in 1866, was renamed ‘Neston South” in 1952, and closed in 1956.
