Of characteristic form, each caribou horn plate pierced along the edges and connected to one another by hardened bronze rings, those of the shoulders particularly thick, with convex surfaces designed to deflect blows. The fine brass closures elaborately profiled, pierced and engraved. With banded mail collar, the mail sleeves and hem terminating in points. Early 19th century. Some cracking to horn plates and losses to rings. Height from nape to hem 76.3 cm. MANNEQUIN NOT INCLUDED.
