A.M. Arms- Pat'd Mar 21.82 May 29, 83. Unknown maker from Boston Mass. An unusual action design: not hammerless, nor hammer but "semi-hammer." 28 inch Damascus barrel. Semi pistol grip single barrel shotgun with pistol grip and fore grip checkering and a steel butt plate. Very nice condition cartridge shotgun from the era of experimental cartridge guns. How it works: the action is opened, a shell is loaded, the action is then closed, the cocking lever is depressed and the gun is fired. The action is then opened and the fired shell is extracted. A very nice working piece of Americana for the collector or target shooter.
