From the ancient Near East, Northern Iran, Ca 1200 to 1000 BC. Short sword of exceptional quality, with deep recessed grips, once holding wood or ivory inlays, and long sharp blade. Once gleaming golden color, now with fabulous areas of crystallized malachite blue/green patina. Blade itself measures 10-1/4"L, whole sword measures14-3/4"L. Intact, save small missing section of grip on either side and on the base.
