<B>A Louis XVI Style Blue Porcelain and Silvered Bronze "Vase-Cloche"</B></I><BR><BR> The porcelain Chinese, the mounts possibly French<BR>Twentieth Century<BR>Silvered bronze and porcelain<BR> Marks: (underglaze blue Artemis leaf within double circle), (swastika)<BR> 17" high<BR><BR> After a design by Jean Dulac for Sevres (c. 1770-1774), with a domed lid with an artichoke final above a foliate clasp, the lower section with a <I>milles raies</B></I> channeled border above a pierced Vitruvian-scroll band frieze supported by a laurel band with lion-mask ring-handles to each side joined by swagged lion pelts, the tapering ovoid body a ribbon-tied reeded collar and waisted, spreading guilloche socle with acanthus overlay, on a further guilloche-paneled circular plinth and <I>milles raies</B></I> paneled square base.
