A "Laugh-In" Group of Correspondence, 1960s-1970s. Including (in chronological order): 1) a letter typed on "Laugh-In" letterhead from Dan Rowan, not dated but from October, 1968, regarding some miscommunication between the show's producer, Paul Keyes, and Wayne that Rowan tried to clear up by writing in part "I have never / met a man who admired and respected another as much as Paul admires and respects you. /...this is not an appeal for / further appearances on the show, but just / to let you know that I would personally / feel badly if in working for us, Paul had / weakened a friendship that means a great / deal to him," signed in black felt-tip ink in the lower left corner "Dan;" 2) a file copy of Wayne's response, dated "October 15, 1968," reading in part "I sure as hell love Paul, and have enjoyed my / short and friendly acquaintanceship with / everyone on Laugh-In. / I'll try to find out why he's upset without / disclosing your note" (the situation ultimately resolved as Keyes later produced two of Wayne's television specials in the 1970s); 3) a funny 'fill in the blanks' form letter on Rowan & Martin letterhead, dated "August 16, 1973," facetiously thanking Wayne for his appearance on the show. 11" x 8 1/2" and smaller
