Indus Valley, 4th Century BC (during Hellenistic period). Marble head of a woman with head turned slightly right. Wavy hair is parted both ways away from forehead, lips are slightly apart. Classical Greek inspired art like this made in the Indus Valley was a direct result of Alexander the Greats conquest of India. Lifesize at 8" x 8". Some chipping and surface wear, as shown.
