(Disney, 1943-2006) A large collection of 59 annual reports from Walt Disney Productions, including very rare and early examples. Disney first issued common stock in 1940, publishing a report for employees and shareholders every year since. These booklets provide unequaled insight into Disney's development as a Company. The reports track the highs and lows of business, including the advent of Disneyland and the effect of World War II on the Studio and the Employees who served. Walt addresses expanding into television as early as 1943.
This collection includes 39 different annual reports. The earliest is from 1943, and 33 reports date before 1984, when Michael Eisner became CEO. The reports included are 1943 thru ‘46, 1949 thru ‘52, 1954, 1957 thru 1978, and 1980 thru ‘82. After Eisner reports included are 1984, 1986, 1993, 2004, 2006, and 2007. There are 20 duplicates included, all dating from 1965 thru 1981. Many have library card pockets inside the front cover, and are stamped"G.G.P./Landmark" on the cover and inside.
