A LYR/LNWR Joint large oval silver-plated serving platter, the top centre displaying the "L & Y & L & NW Ry Cos" garter crest. 22"x17". VGC. Ideal for the Christmas turkey! Almost certainly from the only LYR/LNWR Joint hotel, the Park Hotel Preston which was opened in 1882, and sold for offices in 1949.
