A LNER (possibly GCR) silver-plated cake-stand with a star and rib design to the scalloped rim and pedestal foot. By Elkington. The side is clearly engraved with the "Royal Victoria Station Hotel" garter crest. 8" diameter, 6" tall. Replated to very fine condition. Note The Royal Victoria Hotel, Sheffield was taken over by the MS & LR in 1890 and sold in 1982. Still open.
