(Disney, 1939) A rare original Walt Disney Studios Animation Desk designed by Kem Weber for the new Burbank Studio in 1940. This beautiful, solid-core birch plywood desk features four pull-out drawers, two on each side, along with a plastic disk and pencil sharpener attached. Animator and Director Tim Walker used this desk during his time at Disney, where he worked on Disney Afternoon classics including "DuckTales,” "TaleSpin,” and "Darkwing Duck,” before leaving to work on "Batman: The Animated Series” and "Samurai Jack.” Measuring 41.5” x 73” x 50.75” tall, the animation desk is in very good condition with heavy wear from decades of production use at the Studio, including scuffs, stains, inscriptions, sticker residue, and heavy scratches. Due to size and weight, this item requires special shipping arrangements. Please inquire before bidding.
