A.J. RUSSELL CIVIL WAR RAILROAD PHOTOGRAPHS. Lot of 4 albumen photographs, each 12.25 x 9" mounted on larger boards. Three of these images were taken in March, 1864 and record the lifting of the steam locomotive Vibbard from the "draw" at the Long Bridge over the Potomac near Washington, D.C., one with a strip label title, two with pencilled manuscript titles. The final image shows the wrecked locomotive Charles Minot and cars of the USMRR, probably taken along the Manassass Gap rail line. All very clean. Two near EXC, two a hint light.
