A High Grade, PCGS-Certified 1892 Proof Set. Included are:1892 Cent PR65 Red PCGS. Fully original with warm orange-red luster, the surfaces shimmer in the virtual absence of blemishes. A tiny swirl of variegated color is noted on the obverse over the TA in STATES.1892 Nickel PR65 PCGS. The impressive strike is significantly sharper than that encountered on many business strikes of this type. In fact, there are no ill-defined features, and the lightly patinated, golden-gray surfaces are free of singularly mentionable distractions.1892 Dime PR65 PCGS. Richly and originally toned, both sides display dominant charcoal-copper colors that lighten to tan-gray hues toward the centers. Neither side possesses any noteworthy blemishes, and the proof finish is evident at a few direct angles.1892 Quarter PR65 PCGS. Like the other Barber coins in this lot, this Gem quality Quarter is undeniably original. Reflective fields and fully brought up devices are both evident beneath rich, somewhat mottled, lavender-charcoal toning. A tiny obverse spot is noted on Liberty's cheek.1892 Half Dollar PR64 Cameo PCGS. Richly frosted with needle sharp striking detail, the devices rise powerfully above shimmering, reflective fields. Crimson-apricot patina blankets both sides, neither of which reveals any hairlines or contact marks that would seem to rule out a full Gem grade.1892 Silver Dollar PR66 Cameo PCGS. A smooth and uncommonly high grade specimen, the surfaces combine deeply mirrored fields with well frosted devices. Some delicate golden-copper iridescence gravitates toward the borders, particularly on the obverse around the date. The strike is typical for a proof Morgan from the early 1890s. 6 coins Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour.
