A HEADBOARD “THE CALEDONIAN” displaying the two shields of Scotland and England. A painted wooden board with metal back bracket, 36” wide. In fine, original condition. This headboard was purchased from Polmadie by the rescuer of 46201 “Princess Elizabeth” and presented to The Princess Elizabeth Locomotive Society in the 1960’s. It was of course carried almost exclusively by ‘Princess Coronation’ Pacifics at the head of the famous Glasgow-Euston express.
