Collins, Jack. 1794: THE FIRST FEDERAL SILVER DOLLARS. N.p., 1988. 4to, velo-bound with plastic cover. (1), 13, (124) pages of reproduced typescript, printout and photos, printed on one side. Hand-annotated by Collins in red ink. Inscribed by Collins to John J. Ford, Jr. Fine. A most interesting draft of the important work by Collins published posthumously by George Kolbe and Alan Meghrig in 2007. Most of the present version deals with the census, providing (reproduced) photographs and descriptions, brought up-to-date in red ink by the author. Inscribed, “For John Ford—With respect, admiration, and sincere friendship (signed) Jack Collins 1/29/88.”
