A Gothic Saint Anne with the Virgin and the Infant Jesus, 15th century, depicted standing on a meadowy socle in a lightly animated pose, Saint Anne holding a pear in her left hand, in her right arm the Virgin with the Child on her lap, her head draped in a beautifully carved scarf, dressed in a plain tunic, the mantle tiny scrunched folds, height 83 cm, oak, carved in full round, partly with traces of old painted decoration, a work by a master from the Lower Rhine, around 1475-80, (Er) A work of high quality by a master from the Lower Rhine.
