A German State Railways Class 93 SMOKEBOX NUMBERPLATE “93 983”. As carried by a standard gauge 2-8-2T designed for the Prussian State Railways in 1919 as Class “T 14-1”. In 1920 it became Deutsche Reichsbahn Class 93. Produced by a number of German builders, these locomotives were widely used across Germany, the last being withdrawn at the end of the 1960’s. A steel backplate with polished numerals. 23½”x7¾”, mounted on a back-plate.
