<B>A German Pewter Tankard and Three Beakers</B></I> <BR><BR>Unknown makers, Germany<BR>Nineteenth Century<BR>Pewter<BR>Marks: (angel with sword, scales and lamb), <I>BLOCK ZIN, 1820</B></I><BR>Tankard: 13.5 in. high<BR><BR>The tankard of flaring cylindrical form with triangular spout, the lid surmounted by a shaped cartouche incised <I>Seb. Kroeller Kufer zu Braunsbaen 1757.</B></I> The body with inset cast figure of a barrel maker within a niche, surrounded by vine and grapes overlaid with radiating pattern. A cartouche above with Masonic divider and chalice, and below with crossed mallets above stein; on three cast feet. The beakers of flaring cylindrical form, each with a shield containing Masonic elements.
