A George III oak, mahogany and inlaid longcase clock, circa 1800, the 12" painted dial with sheep painted spandrils beneath a pastoral scene, with a 30 hour movement, the hood with a broken swan neck pediment, the glazed door flanked by fluted columns above a panel with zigzag inlay, the canted case with ogee door with a central shell and stringing inlay, the base with a central inlaid foliate motif raised on simple bracket feet, 222cm 87 [1/2] inches.
