A George III oak and mahogany long case clock, circa 1790, the 11" brass dial, inscribed "Thos Bourdon/London", with Roman numerals, engraved foliate decoration and shell and foliate spandrels beneath a circular plaque decorated with areaper flanked by scrolling fish, the hood with broken swan neck pediment centred by an orb surmounted by an eagle, above an arched glazed door flanked by square columns above a short drawer with mahogany crossbanding and inlaid fan corners flanked by quarter columns, raised on a plinth base with raised field and fluted canted corners on simple bracket feet, 210cm 83 [3/4] inches See Illustration £1200-1800
