A George III oak and mahogany crossbanded bureau bookcase, circa 1800, the concave cornice and banded frieze above two octagonal astragal glazed rosewood strung doors enclosing three shelf tiers and hinged fall front with central conche shell inlaid door, short drawers and divisions and four long graduated cockbeaded drawers, shaped apron, on later turned supports, height 229cm x width 102cm x depth 56cm, 90 inches x 40 inches x 22 inches.
