A George III mahogany satinwood crossbanded longcase clock with an arched hood and centre keystone above the arched glazed door enclosing the 12ins. silvered brass dial with strike/silent to the arch, Roman numerals with subsidiary Arabic numerals to the chapter ring with date aperture and subsidiary seconds dial and eight day striking movement by Christopher Acton, Gravel Lane, Southwark and with urn, bird and foliate scrolling spandrels with five pillar movement flanked on either side by fluted columns with brass reeding and capitals in turn above the arched trunk door with moulded edge being boxwood strung and satinwood crossbanded also flanked by fluted quarter column corners with brass reeding and brass capitals, the base with boxwood tramline decoration and oval satinwood band and standing on later bracket feet.
