A George III mahogany longcase clock having a swans neck pediment above the glazed door enclosing the 12ins. arched painted dial with eight day striking movement with subsidiary date and second hand and with Roman numerals and subsidiary Arabic numerals with rose painted spandrels and with centre rose to the arch and in turn above the shaped trunk door with moulded edge flanked on either side by fluted quarter column corners in turn above the base with moulded edge (feet missing). Height 86ins. (see illustration)
