A George III mahogany and inlaid longcase clock, circa 1810, the scrolled pediment above an arched hood flanking turned supports, enclosing an enamelled 13 1/2in. dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds hand, painted rustic view and gilt scroll spandrels, below a moonphase arch, signed Candliffe, Chapel en le Frith, eight day movement, the trunk with arched door, on an inlaid plinth and short bracket feet, height 238cm, 93 1/2 inches.
