A George II walnut longcase clock, by 'Jn Soldano', London, the pagoda top hood with fluted columns above break arch door to the trunk, upon a rectangular plinth with stepped base, the 12inch (30.5cm) arched brass dial signed on an oval plaque, with strike-silent dial to the arch, silvered chapter ring and seconds dial, date aperture, pierced mask spandrels, having an eight day five pillar bell-striking movement, the case crossbanded and ebony and boxwood strung, 242cm high £5000-7000
