I am really sorry I missed you / ... we enjoy your personal interest in our cars.../ I would like to / get a photo of you and your "wagon" for my Personality Gallery," signed in black ballpoint ink in the lower left corner "George Barris."11" x 8 1/2"In the 1960s, Barris customized Wayne's Pontiac station wagon by making the roof higher so he could comfortably wear a hat without it hitting the ceiling while driving. Known as the 'King of the Kustomizers,' Barris was responsible for creating many of television's most recognizable cars including the Batmobile, the Monkee-mobile, the Beverly Hillbillies jalopy, the Munster's 'koach,' and KITT to name just a few.
