A GWR silver-plated oyster dish, by Mappin & Webb. The top clearly displays the pre-grouping “GWR. Tregenna Castle Hotel” garter crest. Overall 3½”x5½”, replated to very fine condition. NSB. Note The Tregenna Castle Hotel, St Ives, Cornwall was taken on lease by the GWR in 1878, purchased in 1895, extended in 1932, and is still open.
