An unusually fine example of Epirus workmanship, the entire stock of silver, chiseled, engraved and gilded overall, in intricate baroque motifs involving garlands, floral sprays, and the rare Byzantine double-headed eagle. The lock with stepped plate and elegantly-formed cock with engraved borders. The barrel chiseled at the breech. Late 18th-early 19th century. Areas f rubbing to gilding. Overall length 51 cm.
