A French Portico clock, first half of 19th Century, inscribed "Chappuis a Paris" to the movement, the dial with engine turned decoration and painted Roman numerals, the movement striking a single bell and supporting a cast pendulum decorated with a cherub's head, scrolling flowers and a foliate and fruit wreath, the portico of four ebonised wooden columns with brass capitals and bases, the lintel and base inlaid with scrolling floral motifs, height of clock 51cm, 20 inches.
