The long, rectangular sideboard with a pair of hinged cabinet doors and a pair of doors flanking, all inlaid in a geometric pattern of bookmatched mahogany veneer centered by mother-of-pearl discs, with curved pilasters inlaid with birth and exotic woods and mother-of-pearl, with a pattern of woodland deer, birds, butterflies and flowers, raised on a stylized stepped base, the side cabinet similarly decorated, with sliding glass doors and shelves, the rectangular topped table is on a stylized trestle base, the eight side chairs with mahogany and mother-of-pearl veneered backs, with red upholstery raised on squared tapering legs.<BR><BR>Jules Leleu was born in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France and began specializing in furniture making after World War I. He opened a Paris gallery in 1924 and exhibited at the 1925 Exposition Industrielle des Arts Décoratifs.
