A Fistful of Dollars (United Artists, 1967). One Sheet
A Fistful of Dollars (United Artists, 1967). One Sheet (27" X 41"). This revisionist western appeared out of nowhere in 1964, when Italian director Sergio Leone and a then Hollywood bit player named Clint Eastwood suddenly appeared with "A Fistful of Dollars." When released, American audiences saw something they’d never seen before: poor, dusty, ugly towns full of really mean Mexican pistoleros and American gunfighters, with struggling peasants and widows caught in between. Then out of nowhere appears a man with no name (Eastwood) wearing black jeans, serape, brown hat and a squinting look while he smokes a cigar. The rest is history as Hollywood reeled from the effects of this classic! The film did not make its way to the U.S. shores until three years later when this poster was issued. This great one sheet has one pin hole in Eastwood's eyebrow and one in the title, light fold wear, and a set of staple holes in each corner. The poster has been mounted on linen and professionally restored, leaving it with a very nice appearance. From the collection of Jim Ashton. Very Fine+ on Linen.

Shipping: Rolled (view shipping information)
