<B>A EASTERN WOODLANDS BURL WOOD BOWL<BR></B></I><BR>c. 1840<BR> <BR>carved of black (?) ash, the oval form with thin walls and a semi-circular opening on one end, deep brown patina <BR><I><BR>Diameter: 15 ½ inches<BR></B></I> <B>Condition Report:</B> Overall good to very good condition. Wood has surface scratches and small chips. Shows usual wear. Cracking of wood along rim, one crack approximately 1" long. Approximately 20 burn (black areas) the largest 1/4"diameter. Approximately 20 repatinated chipped areas, the largest 1 1/2" long. One recent chip 1/4 " diameter.
