(Disneyland, 1960s) An original sign from the locomotive of the Fred Gurley (Disneyland Railroad locomotive No. 3) at Disneyland. The 113-year-old locomotive was named after Fred Gurley (former Atchison, Topeka, and the Santa Fe Railroad Chairman). The metallic sign was created by the Disneyland Staff Shop, features hand-painted elements, and was likely removed during a complete restoration of the attraction vehicle, beginning in 2006. Measuring 35.75"x6.5", the sign is in very good condition with chips to paint along edges and corners, slight oxidation, and minor wear from Park use.
