A Derby coffee can and stand, circa 1794, the rectangular cartouche enamelled with "the Genius of Modesty preventing Love unveiling Beauty, by Banford", within an acanthus leafy border and salmon pink ground, with gilt star and opaque white pearl ornament, enclosing panels of rose sprays by William Billingsley before a ribbon tied gilt handle, the saucer with conforming ground colour and panelled rose sprays, puce crown cross batons mark and number 233, some restoration and rubbing.
