A Derby botanical comport, circa 1795, of oval lozenge form painted with a single floral specimen of Coxcomb Amaranthus by William Quaker Pegg, within a gilt fluted rim on a gilt leafy border pedestal and gilt lined footrim, blue crown cross batons mark, pattern no 197 and named specimen in blue script, some restoration, length 34.5cm, 13 1/2 inches.
