A DIVISION ONE VICTORIAN JEWELED BUTTON
1 Scarce Large 19th century pierced brass GAY 90 example. Here is a lovely example of genuine Gay 90 jeweled button from the 1890's. The pierced ornate brass example is centered with a hard to find RED faceted 6 sided gemstone glass venter. Red examples are one of the hardest colors to find in genuine Gay 90 buttons, perhaps because in order to get a real red color in glass it require=res the inclusion of actual gold to make the red color consistent throughout the glass. otherwise parts would be a more orange color. This is a magnificent example.
