A DIVISION 3 MARY GREGORY STYLE GLASS BUTTON
1 Large enamel decorated glass 21st C. cobalt children button. This example is one of the most desirable and harder to find today example and is called "PLAYING DESSUP". These backmarked examples in cobalt glass have become quite desirable among collectors ever since they were produced for Gerry Peck in 2007 as witnessed by the backmark in Czechoslovakia for her, and they are no longer being produced. The style of painting in enamel on glass is certainly reminiscent of the old glass by Mary Gregory and the children scenes are charming.
