A DIV. 1 IDENTIFIABLE ARCHITECTURAL STRUCTURE BUTTON
1 Large 18th C. under glass of the statue of Henri IV. This steel engraved paper under glass with a sky blue background depicts the famous statue of Henri IV set on the bridge Pont Neuf in Paris France. The original statue was erected in 1614 but torn down in 1792 during the French Revolution and rebuilt in 1818. This depiction is obviously a depiction of the original statue and was therefore created certainly before 1792 and perhaps many years prior. A finely detailed example and in fine condition. We have attached some renderings and photos of the bridge and statue of today.
