A Cubist column, designed in 1913 by Josef Gocar for the exhibition of the "Group of Artists" ("Skupina vytvarnych umelcu") in May 1913 in Prague, stained oak, varnished, height 127 cm, 30 x 30 cm. The fourth exhibition of the Group of Artists included Filla, Guttfreund, Capek, Kubista, and others. Besides their own works, they also presented examples of avant-garde art by Georges Braque and Picasso from the collection of Dr. Kramar. The column served as a pedestal for Picasso's "Female Head" of 1909.
