<B>A Continental Porcelain <I>Vaisseau a Mat</B></I></B></I><BR><BR>Unknown maker, Continental<BR>Nineteenth Century<BR>Porcelain with polychrome enamel and gilt decoration<BR>Marks: in red <I>7, 6</B></I><BR>18 in. high x 14.5 in. wide x 7.37 in. deep<BR><BR>In the shape of a masted ship, the rounded oval body with lion masks at each end with plug shape handles, the body with royal blue ground covered in vermicelli gilding, central reserve with birds on front and fruit on back outlined in green with diaper pattern gilding; the shoulder with pierced oval holes; surmounted by a reticulated cover in the shape of a sail, with flowing white pennant with gilt fleur de lis; all on a scrolled base.1 <BR><BR><B>Condition Report:</B> Normal signs of wear as appropriate with age. Restoration to recticulated cover and pennant.
