Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, 100 BC - AD 250. Terracotta seated figure with punched eyes and ears, wearing a large shell around the neck. Beautiful brownish/ orange burnished surface with a darker red applied to the sides of the disc shapes at the sides of the head and shell neck ornament. Inscising on shell ornament and around punched holes in the ears. 9-1/2"W x 10"D x 12"H. Absolutely mint condition with no repairs.
