Pre-Columbian, Protoclassic, ca. 100 BC -250 AD. A central feature of Mesoamerican cosmology from an early date is the world tree. It rises from the center of the world and joins the three levels of the universe: the world of the dead, the world of the living and the heavens. 8-3/4" x 11-3/4", repaired.
