Southern Song-Yuan Dynasty, China, 13th century, Longquan celadon vessel used to carefully add small amounts of water to an ink stone where pine oil or tong oil ink has bene made, control of the water is by releasing the finger from the breathing hole openign the vacuum to allow water to drip out. 3"D x 1-1/2"H, intact.
