Probably Spanish, the broad quillons terminating in expanded beads, the pommel with wrenched motif. Wooden grip with twisted iron wire wrap. The double-edged blade with profiled forte with forged depression for the thumb, tapering to the tip with partial profiling to one edge. First quarter of the 17th century or later. Grip wires partially replaced in period, age-toned overall. Overall length 49.2 cm.
