A Biedermeier shelf clock, the spring-driven brass movement striking the half hours on a gong, ratchet tooth lever escapement, silk suspension, the enamel dial with Roman numerals, the socle containing a chime, manufactured by Olbrich, Vienna, automatical release mechanism, playing two melodies (according to the inscription, a "National March" and "Styrian Dances"), excellent tone, the ebonised and mirrored hardwood case with six alabaster columns, carved and gilt decoration, profuse brass applications, in an assorted vitrine, a pendulum and a key, 1st half 19th century, size of vitrine 77 x 48 cm, original condition, the movement and chime in working order, but there is no guarantee for longer running periods, damaged, several parts loose, the glass lacking, (Zid) EURO 2,900 - 3,600 US $ 2,600 - 3,200
