A BR(E) dark blue enamel DIRECTION SIGN "HOCKLEY STATION" with its "British Railways" totem motif and feathered directional arrow. Flanged, 28"x13", a few well-repaired face chips but a fine deep colour and gloss. From the ex GER Essex station, on the Southend Victoria line from Wickford. It opened in 1889. It is believed that this station never had totems so this is a rare opportunity to acquire something named from this station.
