A 19th century gentleman's faceted glass scent bottle with silver coloured mount with sprung action lid, the base having an oval hinged compartment inscribed "Hair of the Duke of Wellington, born 1st May 1769, died 14th September 1852", hinging to a gilt interior with glazed compartment with hair beneath.
